Welcome to the first blog post of 2025! As we step into this new year, we are blessed with the experience of yet another journey ahead. Many of us look forward to the concept of a “new year, new me” often attaching ourselves to specific expectations of what we want to change or achieve. However, through my experiences, I’ve come to realize that while we strive for growth, every moment brings a new and unknown version of ourselves.
This year, we want to embrace the idea that some things change and some things don’t. As we welcome this new growth, it’s important to accept and appreciate the parts of ourselves that stay the same. Our core integrity and fundamental patterns may or may not shift, but can we learn to love and accept the duality of change and constancy?
With the theme of change in mind, we are excited to share updates about what’s new at Space to Grow! We’re now going to convert our monthly blog into a “seeds of the month” as part of our newsletter, offering an easier way to share these insightful seeds for you to integrate in your own space to grow.
Please note that our storefront Saturday market is currently closed until further notice and has transitioned to online-only services or by appointment. We will keep you updated on our participation in market events, but for this winter season, we will not be open for walk-ins on Saturdays.
We continue to offer somatic experience and trauma counseling by appointment only. Jeff’s handyman services are still available for in-home needs; click here to schedule a free consultation or an appointment.
As we enter this new year, I encourage everyone to give themselves permission to embrace acceptance. Reflecting on the Serenity Prayer, I ask for the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
What can we focus on changing in 2025? It begins with our state of being, state of mind, and the people we let into our lives. We have control over our thoughts and the energy we invite into our personal spaces. While we cannot control others’ actions or opinions, we can choose where to direct our energy for the greater good.
Looking back, 2024 offered us wonderful experiences, priceless lessons, and many meaningful moments of growth and connection. Let’s take a moment to acknowledge our past as we look forward to all that 2025 holds.
As we navigate this year, let’s all remember to give each other plenty of space to grow, while nurturing ourselves and loved ones.
With love and light to all, may we thrive together—stronger, healthier, and happier throughout this year!
